Your tasks
In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the operational terminal process and will play a key role in ensuring that trains are loaded and unloaded smoothly and on time.
You will report to the Rail Terminal Operations Supervisor and work in a small team in a 3-shift system. Your responsibilities will also include:
Track planning in the terminal
Control, monitoring and control of train departures and arrivals
Ensuring and checking the completeness of the required loading onto the trains as well as handling incoming trains with the timely provision of the required units for collection
Shunting of incoming and outgoing loads
Monitoring the conditions affecting train movement
Management and planning of the necessary resources at the terminal and stations
Your qualifications
Acquisition of intermediate school leaving certificate and completed vocational training
Willingness to work staggered working hours and on Saturdays
Teamwork, reliability and customer orientation
An independent way of working, solution-oriented thinking and action, calm handling of stressful situations
Open-mindedness and friendliness in dealing with colleagues and customers – even across national and cultural borders
Affinity to IT systems and experience in using MS Office programs
Good written and spoken German skills, advanced English skills are desirable
